  Note I seldom give five stars. The food was excellent. We had fish and prawn tacos and fresh-shucked oysters. House sauvignon blanc was fine.

  Had breakfast here two mornings (breakfast is served until 3:00PM). The atmosphere is casual and friendly and the staff were nice to talk to. Breakfast was good on both days!

  Hit this place up on a friend's recommendation. My husband had a burger, and I had a salad. First the burger: It might be the best burger I've ever had. The tomato and lettuce tasted like they had just been picked. There was this ridiculously awesome onion ring on it. The beef patty tasted really fresh and was nicely seasoned. So good! My Dragon Bowl salad was also REALLY good. I was expecting the usual salad "bowl" flavors, but was pleasantly surprised by a fresh interesting mix of flavours and textures, including radishes and really nice tasting pea shoots. The rice and roasted chick peas added nicely to it as well. I went for the peanut free option, for which they gave me an orange-basil dressing, which was very tasty. We'd definitely go there again.

  Our only knock is that service was slow. Possibly understaffed that day or working with a new employee? The chalk board menu needed updating. Beyond that, we highly recommend it.

  We love to support local business and enjoyed a couple meals here . However we ate breakfast one morning during Pender Harbour Blues Fest in June. The cook makes good scones but when I saw her set several on a plate at the front counter with her bare hands-no gloves or tongs- I mentioned this to the owner. Her response- the cook washes her hands frequently. Sorry, not good enough response to merit a return visit without a change in food handling practices in this place.

  The neat thing is that (seasonally, I assume) they open at 9AM for breakfast. It is hard to find many places that serve breakfast in the area, and/or with this quality and selection. Can't wait to try breakfast when I am in the area.

  Great food and service! Continued to serve after their posted hours to meet customers needs when everything else in town was closed.
